Today on my commute home, I came upon something even more WTF? than a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . A motorhome towing another motorhome behind it.
The lead RV was a ginormous Class A one, basically a tour bus like this:
And trailing behind it was a smaller RV based on a Dodge Sprinter, pretty much identical to this, with the rooftop AC and other doodads (clearly an RV, not just a passenger van):
Now, I totally get the idea of towing a vehicle behind your motorhome. You park your monstrosity and setup camp for a week or more but want to run out and explore, get groceries, drive too slowly in the left lane, etc...
But why the fuck would you use another motorhome for that?
I really cannot fathom this.
Also, those class A monsters are FUCKING HUGE when you’re on a motorcycle. I felt like I was going past the monolith from 2001.

This is our camper, and behind it is our sports-camper.

More than likely a dealer transporting the motorhomes. They do this sometimes with semi cabs.

Hey man, even retired old dudes wandering around the country with their wives need a man cave.

Why wouldn’t you tow another RV? Especially a Sprinter which, while big, is still a good size to run in/out of town.
Hell, I’d DD a sprinter camper just to be able to eat warm food and drink cold drinks anywhere I want - traffic jams, Walmarts, carwash, etc

I’ve seen that before. It was a Class A towing an H1 Hummer.

Yep, I’m going with that. Still quite a sight. I’d do a double take for sure.
